The MICRODC closure was born from the ability to identify a gap in the market, specifically the lack of a closure of small dimensions, and provide a solution to it.
Optotec’s MICRODC is a versatile, compact (<2lt), and easy-access closure designed for loose tube and micromodules cable.
Moreover, this product differs from other closures in terms of fibre management (G652 and G657 fibre) and the numerous compatible accessories available. Also, the gasket kits can manage a wide range of cables, from 2 to 16mm.
With its flexible usage (aerial, buried and facade installation) and versatile configuration (in-line, butt and tap-off), the MICRODC can splice up to 96 fibers. In addition, from an “aesthetic/visual” perspective, this product does not have a huge impact on the look of a building’s facade, particularly thanks to the two-color variations we chose: black and light grey.
The product has been created in partnership with one of our best business partners to satisfy European Telecom Operators’ needs.
Following the usual steps of a new product’s development, our engineers designed and created 3D prototypes, and the quality department certified the product according to IP68 and IK10.
Moreover, as for all Optotec’s products, the Technical team constantly takes care of revising the MICRODC in order to improve its performances based on the markets and customers’ needs.
