Optotec’s Distributor Post is the termination point or sectioning point of the telephone networks (either copper or fibre) where start connection to the customers.
Generally it is installed in the proximity of the end user. The Distributor Post is designed to be installed for copper and fibre network or in an hybrid combination, internally you can accomodate modules for IDC copper cable termination and boxes for splice and termination of fiber optic cables. Optical cables (access network or end user) are terminated through the splicing of connectorized patch-cords within appropriate cassettes with a maximum potential up to 24 fibres. The Distributor Post is fixed to the ground using a galvanized iron frame or with a basement of composite material (VTR/SMC).
